Teaching in Tokyo

I spent 2.5 days working in Tokyo – 2 days teaching a Certified ScrumMaster course and one morning doing the opening keynote at the Scrum Gathering. The keynote was about organizational change, it was titled “Everyone wants change, but nobody likes to be changed“. I actually talked about the Big Family Trip at the end of the keynote, since that was an example of applying the change model on my own life :o)

Dave joined me for the 2 day course, that was fun! He has often asked to join me on a business trips and see me work, so this was a good opportunity. He spent most of the time playing on the iPad and gazing out the window (we were on the 34th floor!), but he did participate in some of the exercises. At the end of the second day the rest of my family joined in, which certainly livened things up! The course participants seemed to have a lot of fun playing around with the kids!
